Tex and Blue Belle are two black labs, who are a little over two years apart in age. Tex is older, and he won’t let you forget it.

Tex (left) is the “family dog,” who became the sixth Haas member in 2017. He has been sniffing and grunting his way into the hearts of all he meets, ever since.

Blue Belle (right) is “my dog,” (aka my pride and joy and love of my life) who I adopted in 2020. Yes, she’s a COVID puppy. Blue Belle become Tex’s little sister in every way that counts. From ankle biting and body slamming, to kisses and snuggles, Blue Belle has been annoying and loving Tex for as long as she’s eaten solid food.

I decided to name this blog “Tex & Belle’s Book Blog” to honor my passion of reading and writing and my love for my dogs. So please, take a look around, read a few blog posts, and excuse the occasional black dog hair you may see on some featured book photos.
